Melee Weapons

It's not just sea battles out there. Having a sword is essential to keeping yourself safe from boarding pirates, and on land as well.

Sword materials only affect the durability and look of your weapon with exceptions such as Electrosteel, Brekonium and gems such as Ruby and Onyx doing extra damage. Salt degrades the fastest and Pursteel degrades the slowest. Some premium metals have special effects similar to Esteel and Brekonium, doing extra damage, lifesteal (Deathmetal) or stamina drain (Electrosteel,ice,Santanite and Frosteel)

Wood types are cosmetic and do not affect anything but the appearance unless it is a legendary combination.

Many of the hit to kills below have a +1 on larger body types, so exceptions occur such as Balreskan Warhammers, Hallenaxes etc
