Not to be confused with Electrosteel.
Glowsteel refers to the term describing weapons, or tools that are known for their bright glowing effect. This material is not available as a material for crafting use; unless referring to Brekonium.
Glowsteel is the main name of the metal for an item, and its durability is akin to that of Pursteel.
There is also Glow-wood, but the term is rarely used as players are unable to gain glow-wood by normal means.

- Deathmetal has life-steal effects. Life steal is equal to 50% of damage dealt. Legendary combinations of this metal life-steal 100% of damage dealt.
- Frosteel, Verdantium, Magmite, Brekonium, and Santanite weapons deal damage over time. Skyrite also does damage over time, but only when it is glowing pink.
- Legendary combinations such as Grimey Verdantium, Mysterious Magmite, Holy Electrosteel, Frosted/Cold Santanite, Exquisite Brekonium (Crafted, not from crates), and Cold Frosteel deal extra poison damage because of the material combination.
- Verdantium weapons (or commonly just “verd,”) are notorious for having a “poison effect.” Not necessarily similar to point 2.
- Brekonium is the only Glowsteel material that is available for crafting. It may be crafted with Pwnwood (Purchasable on occasion or from players) to create legendary weapons or tools. Pwnwood is not a material found in Mystery Crate weapons, so legendary Brekonium items are crafted by players.

- charged gems do the same damage as gems but have a slight damage drain effect.
- magmite dramatically increases damage on hit and the health drain effect is very devastating
- glowie effects can be removed from yourself by eating hardtack
