These cannons are known for their quick turns, in exchange for weaker damage and range. Also, Whilst Most cannons kill on impact with a player on the opposite team, Swivels do about 50-60 dmg per hit on player, except the Advanced swivel, which kill on impact, and have a larger explosion radius. Best for farming gunnery lvl if you have rounds.
Edit - Swivel guns now require a special "Swivel Ammunition," which are currently crafted with 10 iron, 10 gunpowder, and 2 steel for a batch of 10. Swivel guns now have a shotgun blast-like attack. Some of which has been stated above this edit may no longer apply.
Unknown fact by many, buy if you have a combat glowie swivel gun (magmite, verd etc.) it will apply the effect if you are hit by one.
